Definition
A constantly growing cash prize awarded to a poker player who meets conditions agreed in advance. A jackpot is played at certain tables and is funded by a portion of players’ contributions. For example, this prize may be paid for making a specific combination or for winning with a specific starting hand. Poker also has the Bad Beat Jackpot, a cash prize paid to a player who made a very strong hand (quads or better) but lost the hand.
