Definition
A player who has a much worse hand than their opponent in the current hand and minimal chances of winning. For example, Player 1 holds 3h 3c, Player 2 holds 7d 7c, and the board is 7h Tc Kd – here Player 1 is the underdog with a pair of threes against the opponent’s set of sevens. If the players’ chances of winning are roughly equal (a coin flip), the player with the weaker hand is not considered an underdog.
