Definition
A tournament poker metric showing the ratio of a player’s stack to the average stack of all tournament participants. A low Q below 1 means the player’s stack is below average, putting them in a less favorable position. A high Q (above 1) means the player’s stack is above average and gives them an advantage. This metric is used alongside the M-ratio to gauge a player’s position relative to the rest of the field.
