A poker playing style based on playing a narrow range of starting hands. Tight players choose only the strongest pocket hands to play, which helps them avoid difficult situations. There are two main kinds of tight style. Tight-aggressive means playing a small number of the best hands with maximum aggression. Tight-passive means playing strong hands passively without putting pressure on the opponent.
