Definition
The stake level at cash tables, expressed in monetary terms. A limit can be written in two ways: as the buy-in size or as the size of the small and big blinds. The buy-in is usually equal to 100 big blinds. For example, a No-Limit Hold’em cash game with a $1 small blind and a $2 big blind is written as NL200 or $1/$2 NL. The letters before or after the limit are the abbreviation of the poker format.
