Definition
A poker playing style in which a player plays a wide range of hands preflop. As a result, this leads to rather difficult postflop situations that require a high level of skill to handle. The loose style is divided into two categories: loose-aggressive and loose-passive. The first, when used skillfully, can bring big profits. The second is typical of beginners and is a losing style.
