Definition
A poker hand made up of five cards, three of which share the same rank and the other two are also of equal rank to each other. For example, the hand is 6d 8s and the board is 6h Th 6c Ks 8c. Here a full house is made from three sixes and a pair of eights. If two or more players make this hand, the pot goes to the holder of the higher full house, the one whose three of a kind is of higher rank. A full house is a fairly strong hand, beaten only by a royal flush, a straight flush and four of a kind.
