Blind Defense

Definition

A preflop call or re-raise of an opponent’s bet from the small or big blind. Instead of folding and giving up, the player in the small or big blind defends his forced bet by calling or raising. For example, at a $1/2 cash table, after the previous players fold, Player A on the button raises to $7. Player B in the small blind folds, and Player C in the big blind calls, defending his blind.
