Definition
A very weak hand that can beat only an opponent’s bluff on the river. It can be a low pair or even just high card, such as an ace or a king. If a player calls an opponent’s bluff with a bluff catcher and wins the pot, the call is known as a “hero call”, since calling with a weak hand takes courage and means risking a large amount.
