Definition
A bet out of position, usually small, made postflop by a player who was not the preflop aggressor. In other words, a donk bet is a bet made without the initiative, which is why it is not very effective. “Donk bet” literally means “donkey bet”, and this move is typical of inexperienced, beginner poker players.
