Definition
A situation in poker when a player cannot make a better hand than their opponent on the remaining streets, no matter what cards come. For example, Player 1 holds Ah Qh, Player 2 holds As Kd, and the board is Kh Th 8c 2h. Here Player 1 already has the nut flush, which no possible hand of Player 2 can beat. Player 2 would improve only if a king comes on the river, giving a set of kings, but that hand is still worse than a flush. So in this situation Player 2 is said to be drawing dead.
