Made Hand

Definition

A poker hand that already has showdown value at the moment and doesn’t need additional cards to complete a combination. Such a hand can still improve on later streets: for example, a pocket pair can turn into a set or quads. Some players use the term made hand only for a straight or better, combinations that use all five cards and can’t improve. The term “made hand” is the opposite of a “drawing hand”.
