Maniac

Definition

A player who prefers a very aggressive and loose style. A maniac plays lots of hands already preflop, trying to push his opponents out of the hand and take the pot. Such a player bluffs often, makes oversized bets and constantly puts pressure on his opponents. However, this style is very vulnerable. The best strategy against a maniac is tight play, entering the hand only with the strongest hands.
