Middle Pair

Definition

A pair made with one hole card and a board card of middle rank. For example, holding 4d 8d with a board of Ks 8c 2h, you have a pair of eights, and since the eight is the middle-ranked card on the flop (higher than the deuce, lower than the king), the resulting pair is called a middle pair.
