Definition

A multi-table tournament (MTT) is a poker tournament whose participants play at several tables simultaneously. As players are eliminated, the number of tables shrinks until only one final table remains. The multi-table tournament is won by the player who wins all the chips. The MTT prize pool is formed from the participants’ entry fees. There are also guaranteed tournaments – events in which a set amount is paid out even if the players’ buy-ins were not enough to cover it (the difference is paid by the organizer/poker room).
