Definition
A card whose rank is higher than the highest card on the board. A board card can also be called an overcard if it ranks higher than the player’s highest card. For example, Hero holds AQ and the flop is J65. Here Hero has two overcards – the ace and the queen. Another example: Hero holds 97 and the flop is K23. In this situation the overcard (K) is on the board.
