A small round disc used in live poker instead of money. Chips replace money at the poker table for several reasons: they are more convenient to use, harder to counterfeit and steal, and much easier to count, and they are an essential attribute of any casino or poker club. Chips come in different denominations distinguished by color. A popular color scheme: white – 1, red – 5, green – 25, blue – 50, black – 100, pink – 500, yellow – 1000.
