Buying a stack again in a poker tournament after the initial stack has been completely lost. To rebuy, a player pays the buy-in amount and receives the starting number of chips. Rebuys are possible only in special tournaments. Chips can usually be rebought until late registration closes. There are tournaments with a limited and an unlimited number of rebuys, as well as tournaments that allow players to buy more chips without having lost their whole stack.
