A player who plays poker regularly. The term is usually combined with a specific stake, for example “PLO50 regular” is a player who constantly plays Pot-Limit Omaha at cash tables with $50 buy-ins. Regulars are not necessarily winning players and may simply break even; such players make their money from rakeback. Regs usually prefer to play several tables at once to get maximum profit and rakeback.
