One of the most important statistics for a tournament player, showing how profitable their game is. ROI (return on investment) is the ratio of winnings to buy-ins spent and is calculated as: ROI = (Winnings – Buy-ins) / Buy-ins. For example, if total tournament winnings were $250 and $200 was spent on buy-ins, ROI is (250 − 200) / 200 = 0.25, or 25%.
