A random number generator: a device that produces random sequences of numbers, which are converted into the order of cards in the deck of an online poker room. In other words, the RNG makes sure the cards in the deck are always in random order, without any dependency or pattern. Correct operation of the random number generator is the guarantee of a poker room’s fairness toward its players.
