Definition
Playing a strong hand passively, letting the opponent connect with the board or inducing them to bluff. The main goal of slowplaying is to hide your hand’s strength in the early stages of the hand while trying to build the pot as much as possible. Misusing this play can lead to losing the hand if the opponent makes a stronger hand on later streets. That is why you should slowplay only on safe boards that will not let your opponent make the nuts.
