Definition
One of the four attributes by which all cards in the deck are distinguished. A standard 52-card poker deck contains 13 cards of each suit: hearts, diamonds, clubs and spades. In popular poker variants (Hold’em, Omaha, Stud) all suits are of equal value when making hands. The only card that has no suit is the joker, which can be used in some poker variants.
