Definition
All the chips at a player’s disposal that they can use to bet in a particular cash game or poker tournament. In cash games the stack is usually 100 big blinds, but at certain tables you can play with a stack from 20 BB to 250 BB. A player who loses their stack in a cash game can buy in again and keep playing. In a tournament, losing the stack means elimination, unless it is a special tournament that allows buying more chips (rebuys, add-ons).
