Definition
A tactical move in which a short-stacked player out of position calls a bet preflop in order to shove all-in first on the flop. The move got its name “Stop and Go” because the player first pauses the action with a call (stop) and then forces it with a shove (go). The goal is to win chips from a player who would very likely call an all-in preflop, but for whom calling would be unprofitable if they miss the flop.
