Definition
One of the oldest forms of poker, known for its fast pace and aggression. This variant has no community cards and no small or big blind; antes are used as forced bets. There are Seven-Card Stud, Five-Card Stud and Seven-Card Stud Hi-Lo. Depending on the variant, players receive 5 or 7 cards, 4 of which are dealt face up, i.e. visible to everyone. The player with the strongest five-card hand wins.
